When it comes to choosing a new faucet for your bathroom, there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind. What is your budget? What style is your bathroom? What type of sink do you have? Answering these questions will help you narrow down your choices and make the selection process a lot easier.

Budget: Depending on your budget, you may want to consider a less expensive option like a single hole faucet. Single hole faucets are less expensive than widespread or wall mount faucets but still offer a stylish look. If you have a little more to spend, vessel or electronic faucets are great options.

Style: The style of your bathroom will also play a role in choosing the right faucet. If you have a modern bathroom, you may want to consider a single hole or wall mount faucet. These styles are minimalistic and pair well with contemporary bathrooms. If you have a more traditional bathroom, widespread or vessel faucets may be more your style.

Sink Type: The type of sink you have will also dictate which type of faucet is best. If you have an undermount or drop-in sink, any type of faucet will work. However, if you have a vessel sink, you'll need to choose a vessel or wall mount faucet.

Single Hole Faucets - These slim or full body fixtures can be used in all size vanities and pair well with undermount or drop-in sinks.

Vessel Faucets - Tall single hole fixtures that are most often paired with vessel sinks above the counter. Keep in mind that vessel faucets require more maintenance to keep them clean.

Wall Mount Faucets - As the name suggests, these are mounted off the wall which gives the bathroom more counter space. Wall mount faucets can be paired with many different types of sinks.

Widespread Faucets - Widespread faucets come in 4" center or 8" center options and allow you to control the volume of hot and cold water separately. They are not recommended for small spaces.

Electronic Faucets - Single hole electronic faucets are perfect for minimalist bathrooms or those who are concerned about hygiene.

The finish of your faucet is important both for aesthetic reasons and for practicality. You'll want to choose a finish that complements the other fixtures in your bathroom and that fits with your personal style. But you'll also want to consider how easy it will be to keep clean. Some finishes, like brushed nickel, show water spots and fingerprints more easily than others. If you're someone who likes to keep a clean house, you might want to choose a darker finish that's easier to maintain. Or, if you don't mind doing a little extra cleaning, you can go with a lighter finish that will brighten up your space. Once you've decided on the size, style, and finish of your bathroom faucet, it's time to install it!

Installing a new bathroom faucet is a quick and easy way to update the look of your space. Keep these things in mind when choosing one for your home—size, style, and finish—and you'll be sure to find the perfect fit.
